This is a painting about what is underfoot: the ground itself as a living system, accruing and transforming. Small in scale but dense with material presence — papers, pigments, wax and oil compressed into a surface that has the complexity of a handful of living soil. The 5 cm depth of the panel gives it a sculptural weight on the wall.

Mixed media: papers, natural pigments, pastels, acrylics, wax, oil paints on cradled wooden artist panel
18 × 24 cm, depth: 5 cm — unframed
