This painting comes from those moments when light seems to take over the landscape. The familiar edges of things begin to dissolve and everything feels lighter, quieter, almost suspended. I am fascinated by that fleeting sensation when a place seems to lose its solidity and, for a moment, becomes almost entirely light.
